International technical assistance projects
The Ministry for Emergency Situations is an active participant in international technical assistance projects aimed at increasing national and regional capacities in disaster risk reduction, emergency prevention and response, improving the safety culture of the population, restoration and sustainable development of territories exposed to radiation pollution.
The MES has implemented more than 30 projects of international technical assistance in the field of:

improvement of cross-border capacity in the field of prevention and response to natural and anthropogenic disasters;
- ensuring radiation safety;
- overcoming Chernobyl NPP accident consequences;
- promotion of safety culture among the population;
- prevention of fires in the homes of lonely and elderly citizens.
