Vadim Sinyavsky attended the ceremony honoring the national flag and coat of arms

A solemn ceremony celebrating the national symbols of our country - the flag, the coat of arms, and the anthem - was held in Minsk's National Flag Square. More than a hundred employees and students from the University of Civil Protection, which is part of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, attended the event.

Minister of Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky was among the attendees, along with students from leading universities in Minsk and cadets from higher education institutions within the national security system. Guests from the capital also joined the event to show their support for the main symbols that represent the sovereignty of our state, the Republic of Belarus.On the second Sunday in May, Belarus celebrates the National Flag Day, National Emblem Day and National Anthem Day. This year, the holiday coincides with the 26th anniversary of these symbols becoming part of the country's state sovereignty.

State coat of arms: the golden outline of the state border of the republic placed in a silver field, superimposed on the golden rays of the sun rising above the globe. There is a five-pointed red star at the top of the field. The coat of arms is framed by a wreath of golden ears, intertwined with clover flowers on the right and flax flowers on the left. The wreath is intertwined three times on each side with a red-green ribbon, on which the inscription "Republic of Belarus" is placed in gold.

National flag: a rectangular panel consisting of two horizontally arranged colored stripes: the upper one is red and the lower one is green. The ratio of the width of the red and green stripes is 2:1. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 1:2. The Belarusian national ornament of red color on a white field is vertically located at the flagpole. The flag is mounted on a flagpole (flagpole), painted in golden (ochre) color.

National anthem: a musical and poetic work performed on solemn occasions, the list of which is fixed in legislation. The anthem has its own authors: the music was written by composer N.F.Sokolovsky, the words were written by Belarusian poets M.N.Klimkovich, V.I.Karizna.
