A Memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the rescue agencies of Belarus and Mongolia

As part of the official visit of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to Mongolia, a ceremony for signing an international agreement was held. The agreement was a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Emergency Prevention and Response between the Ministries for Emergency Situations of both countries. 

The Head of State emphasized that, in addition to economic cooperation, there is also a shared interest in security cooperation, including emergency response measures.

The Memorandum was signed by the heads of agencies and covers a number of areas for cooperation. The parties will work together on fire safety and extinguishing, organizing and conducting joint exercises, training sessions, conferences, seminars, and other events. They will also train specialists in educational institutions and exchange teachers, scientists, and specialists in chemical, nuclear, and radiation safety. Additionally, they will exchange information, technologies, and experience in emergency prevention and other areas that are of mutual interest.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the supply of Belarusian fire rescue equipment.

Recall that expert cooperation with Mongolian colleagues has been conducted for 20 years and it is expected that the signing of the Memorandum will give a special impetus to its development.

Earlier, during the visit, Vadim Sinyavsky met with the Head of the State Agency for Emergency Situations of Mongolia, Gombozhavin Ariunbuyan, and also got acquainted with the Crisis Management Center of the SAES of Mongolia and visited the fire and rescue units of Ulaanbaatar.
