The XIV International Salon "Integrated Safety and Security 2024" is continuing its work

On May 30th, the opening ceremony for the International Salon "Integrated Safety and Security 2024" was held at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center in Kubinka, located near Moscow. The event was attended by a delegation from Belarus, headed by Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Salanovich.

The ceremony was opened by Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergency Situations, and Disaster Management. He welcomed all participants and expressed his hope that the event would be productive.


For reference: This year, the events of the Salon are held at three different locations for the first time: Patriot Park, the training grounds of Aparinka, and the Noginsk Rescue Center of the EMERCOM of Russia. The Patriot is showcasing modern achievements in safety, including samples of equipment and advanced weapons from the rescue departments of participants. Exhibits on nuclear and radiation safety, industrial and food safety, transport and construction safety, and personal and business safety will be on display. The extensive scientific and business program will include about a hundred events related to protecting the population and territories from emergency situations and innovations in fire safety.

After that, Alexander Kurenkov visited the exhibition of Belarusian rescuers, which was hosted by Pavel Khotelovsky, Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergency Situations of the Ministry for Emergency Situations. At the event, he was shown the latest models of hand protection devices of various designs. The head of the Russian delegation praised the ergonomics of the presented products, as well as their high quality. Special attention was paid to a model of boots designed for extinguishing landscape fires, equipped with a system for protecting against the effects of a chainsaw. Alexander Kurenkov was also presented with a firefighter's helmet with fluorescent coating, and an upgraded model of a lightweight helmet. Among the novelties presented, the head of the delegation highly appreciated a prototype of a basic set of specialized tools for rescue firefighters.




Also, Ivan Polevoda, a representative of the Belarusian delegation and Head of the University of Civil Protection of the MES of Belarus, participated in the conference "International Experience in Emergency Risk Management" as part of the activities of the Scientific and Educational Committee of the International Organization for Civil Defense (IOGO), chaired by its Secretary General, Mrs. Mariyatu Yap. The main topics discussed were the issues of emergency rescue operations and other urgent activities in large-scale natural and man-made emergencies, automated risk management systems for emergency situations, methods for protecting critical infrastructure, experience in the use of modern equipment and materials in operations to prevent and address the consequences of emergencies, and educational and methodological approaches to training experts in assessing and managing emergency risks. The conference was attended by representatives from scientific and educational organizations, as well as rescue universities in Belarus, Russia, and Serbia, as well as the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center, among others.



In addition, during the International Salon, the Research Institutes of the Ministries for Emergency Situations from Russia and Belarus signed agreements on scientific and technical cooperation. The parties plan to build long-term cooperation that will allow them to conduct joint research and develop new technologies in the fields of civil defense, emergency prevention, and disaster response. As part of the event's business program, Belarusian representatives took part in two roundtables: "Topical Issues of Technical Regulation in the Field of Civil Defense and Natural and Man-Made Emergency Protection" and "Emergency Rescue Operations". These events focused on discussing current issues related to mining rescue operations in Russia.
