International Grand Prix for "Integrated Safety and Security": Gold and Bronze for Belarusian Rescuers

The 1st International Grand Prix for Professional Skills of Firefighters and Rescuers was held in Moscow as part of the 15th anniversary International Salon "Integrated Safety and Security".

The team from the Republic of Belarus won the "Professional Level" nomination and came in third place in the "Extreme Level" category. Rescue teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, South Ossetia, Serbia, Mongolia, and the international team from the Academy of the GPS of the Ministry for Emergency Situations in Russia competed for the title of best of the best at the International Grand Prix event. More than 150 delegates from 40 countries and international organizations participated in the event. The stages were based on real-life situations that rescue workers face every day: firefighting, extinguishing flames, searching for victims in high temperatures and thick smoke. In addition, participants had to complete a complex combination of strength and speed challenges while wearing full firefighter equipment in the shortest possible time.

The winners of the competition were determined in two categories, and the places were awarded as follows:

"Professional Level":

1. The team from the Republic of Belarus

2. The Russian Federation team

3. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia team

"Extreme Level":

1. Russian Federation team

2. Republic of Serbia team

3. Republic of Belarus team

The winners were awarded by Alexander Kurenkov, the Minister of the Russian Federation of Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief. He praised the intense competition among the best professionals in the field. "You demonstrated your best qualities on the track. Your professionalism, strength, and ability to work as a team were evident," Alexander Kurenkov said in his congratulatory remarks to the champions.
