Vadim Sinyavsky Attended the Graduation Ceremony of the Specialists of the University of Civil Protection of the MES

Today, a solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the graduation of cadets and students from the University of the Ministry for Emergency Situations. 

Minister for Emergency Situations, Vadim Sinyavsky, attended the event. Among the honored guests were representatives of embassies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Archpriest Vladimir Sheydak, the rector of St. Nicholas Church, deputy ministers, heads of territorial and central departments, and veterans from the educational institution. Addressing the audience, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the entire teaching staff of the university for their important and significant work in the formation of future specialists, as well as to the parents of the graduates. "Thanks to your efforts," Vadim Sinyavsky said, "we have real patriots who love their country, who are ready to help others in times of need, and who will join the ranks of emergency service officers." The Minister also congratulated all those present on the occasion of the upcoming the 80th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi occupation.

Tomorrow, you will begin your practical work, taking on duty shifts and performing tasks to supervise and prevent emergency situations. You will also deal with issues related to the promotion of safety and the well-being of our population. Additionally, you will solve other important tasks assigned by the ministry. Vadim Sinyavsky emphasized during his speech to the graduates, - You will practically apply the theoretical skills you have acquired during your studies. I want to encourage you to approach these tasks with confidence».

"You will rise in positions and receive new ranks," the head continued. "Many of you will lead emergency response teams and departments, and will be at the helm of regional territorial services for the Ministry for Emergency Situations. Wherever you serve, always be honest with yourself, love your country, cherish the values and achievements we have today, and take care of your reputation. Be real officers."

The University of Civil Protection, part of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, is a higher education institution with 90 years of experience training specialists for emergency response agencies in Belarus and internationally. Over 100,000 rescue workers from 72 countries have graduated from its programs. The university actively conducts research, introducing innovative approaches to the educational process and updating equipment for firefighters and rescue personnel.

In 2024, 269 specialists received diplomas of higher education, including 17 with honors, and four graduates were awarded gold medals. Among the graduates, there were 40 foreign specialists from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. During the ceremony, the minister awarded the most outstanding specialists of the Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and also presented special awards to its staff. A significant part of the event was the laying of flowers at a monumental and decorative sculpture dedicated to the memory of emergency workers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The event concluded with a traditional waltz by young officers and a solemn march across the university parade ground. The graduates bid farewell to their alma mater's banner, symbolically marking the end of their cadet journey and beginning a new chapter - serving their country as officers in the Ministry for Emergency Situations.
