The World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sports starts in China
From September 5 to 11, 2024, the XIX Men's World Championship and the X Women's World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sports will be held in Harbin, China.
Tomorrow, 10 men’s and 7 women’s national teams will begin their struggle for the title of World Champion in Fire and Rescue. Among the participating teams are representatives from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey and Uzbekistan. The Belarusian team includes emergency workers from all over the country, including masters of sports, international masters of sports and honored masters of sport of Belarus. They have been training under the guidance of experienced coaches throughout the season and are determined to achieve their best results at this important event.
There are four sports disciplines in the competition program: "Climbing the Assault Ladder to the Floors of the Training Tower", "Overcoming the 100-Meter Obstacle Course", "Fire Relay 4x100 m", and "Combat Deployment".
A panel of judges appointed by the International Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports will monitor the correctness of the exercises and evaluate the results of the participants. The panel consists of highly qualified and experienced judges from around the world.
Today, there was a meeting of the main judging panel, a presentation of countries and heads of delegations, a draw, and testing of sports equipment by the teams. Tomorrow, there will be competitions in "Climbing the Assault Ladder to the Floors of the Training Tower" and during the opening ceremony, we will learn the names of the first champions in this individual championship.
The races will begin with the men's team performances at 10:30 local time (05:30 Moscow time) and the women's races will start at 12:40 local time (07:40 Moscow time). The official ceremony, semi-finals, and finals are scheduled for 20:30 local time (15:30 Moscow time).

The world championships in fire and rescue sports are held to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between sports organizations from different countries, improve the professional and combat training of firefighters and rescue workers, and promote fire and rescue sports globally.
